IAQA 2023 Indoor Air Quality Association

Annual Meeting And Expo, Austin Texas, Feb 19-22, 2023

US Nuclear started the year off with a bang at the IAQA Meeting and Expo in February. After three-plus years of no in-person trade shows this one was perfect with which to get started. Technical Associates, the design and manufacturing division of US Nuclear, has an extensive product line of air detection and monitoring instruments. In providing radiation, chemical, and biological detection and monitoring the IAQA proved to be a good fit.

The big interest was the current understanding of the dangers of PFAS, or forever chemicals. We attended the PFAS seminar and the room was packed, including standing room around the walls. Technical Associates has a PFAS detector. PFAS is typically detected by a large lab with specialized equipment and a high cost for testing.  The PFAS-TA-L (LAB) and the PFAS-TA-F (FIELD) are small, lightweight, and can be used both in the lab and in the field for immediate results.

There was quite a lot of interest in these instruments as they were seen as the first step in the testing process without being cost prohibitive. The key is whether there is PFAS in the testing sample at all, a simple yes or no. If found to be a ‘yes’ then the more expensive testing can take place.

Technical Associates has heard back from several potential customers requesting quotes for this new technology

Please call 818-883-7043 or email: [email protected] with questions or to discuss PFAS. We're also available to answer questions about our other hard-to-detect air or waterborne contaminant instruments.
